Packin' It In

From Each Day....

Ozzy is helping Sophia.

Things have been pretty crazy lately. The stress level has been over the top.
We are in transition. Life is in complete flux right now.
My husband is in Asheville, has been for 3 weeks. The kids and I are still in Culpeper.
They will finish this upcoming week at school and then we leave for Asheville, to our new home.
We closed on our Asheville home on Friday. Thankfully everything went smoothly.
We do have a contract on our Culpeper home. We have made it through inspection and now we wait for their appraisal for a VA loan.
The stress is can be overwhelming.
They (the buyers) cannot seem to make a prompt decision on anything.
They want everything but don't want to pay for anything.
The movers are here, packing everything we own onto a big truck.
Thankfully I do not have to pack anything. I can't. If I do it is not insured. Fine by me. Unpacking it is enough work.
Each time we move I am amazed that our life can fit in a tractor trailer truck.  The first time we moved, 13 years ago from Virginia Beach, VA to Morganton, NC we barely filled a third of the truck. By the time we left Michigan to head back to Virginia we barely fit on one truck.

Bulls Balls

From Each Day....

The last few months I have been out at Lakota Ranch taking pictures of cows. I say cows because I don't really know the correct language that separates them from bulls, steers, cows, heifers etc. Well I know what a bull is, I am not that daft. There are a lot of bulls.

The Ranch is beautiful. I would get distracted and want to take fun pictures. Pictures of the scenery. Pictures of cows being "cute" and doing funny things. Unfortunately those don't sell cows.

From Each Day....

This is an example of how they need to be posed.
Have you ever tried to get a cow in this exact position? Actually he would like the head facing forward. Hind legs need to be separated so that you can see their "junk". (yes I know this is not a bull).
Actually if your showing a bull you want to see the balls. I don't think I have ever looked at so many bulls balls in my life.
Pretty pitiful when you look at a bull and the first thing you notice are his balls and hope they are positioned correctly. Again, I know this is not a bull but thought it was a pretty picture ;)
From Each Day....
Ah, excuse me bull? Could you take a half step forward I cannot quite see your junk.

This one is much cuter.

Hi there little guy!
From Each Day....
And this one is much more fun...unfortunately they are not going to buy a bull because he has a cute face.
From Each Day....
My, but what big balls you have!
From Each Day....
I was out in the field with about 40 young bulls. Trying to get all of their pictures. Hard to do when they keep moving away from you. For some reason they don't really listen/understand what you are telling them to do. Anyway, I am out in this field and all of a sudden the 40+ bulls all line up facing the adjoining field that is separated by one single electric wire.

Seriously, they line up.
Shoulder to shoulder and start mooing and snorting at this one bull on the other side of the wire. It was really weird and I was trying to decide which side of the fence was going to be safer and was the one electric wire going to keep them separated.
Obviously this guy had an attitude. Stuck in a field by himself.
From Each Day....
This is Jax.  Cutest kid on the planet I tell you. He absolutely loves to ride in the truck with his dad.
From Each Day....
MOO!

Jax is a farm boy. He hangs with his dad and Uncle Yancy, giving them direction.

Supervising, making sure they are getting their work done.
From Each Day....

"Uncle Yancy you need to put the seed in here."
From Each Day....

"Good job, now you got the hang of it."
From Each Day....

"Here, let me hold this for you."
From Each Day....

Playing With My Macro Lens

From Each Day....

Taking pictures with the Macro lens is incredibly difficult. The slightest move, from the wind or camera will ruin the photo.

From Each Day....

I really needed to use my tripod but it is burried in the garage, semi-packed for the move.

I wish the mushrooms were clearer but oh well.
With all the rain we have had lately I have so many different species of mushrooms in the yard, it is quite impressive.

From Each Day....

I think this hydrangea photo is my favorite. I love hydrangea plants. Those and hostas.

From Each Day....
This guy has been hanging out in my Schefflera plant on the deck. I sat and watched him for about a half hour the other day. He would turn and look at me, cocking his head back and forth. Almost like he was trying to figure out if he could eat me.

The make the coolest movements.
From Each Day....
I wanted to see him grab a bug. A couple ants came his way but he did not seem fast enough.
From Each Day....

Have a wonderful Monday.
