The last few months I have been out at Lakota Ranch taking pictures of cows. I say cows because I don't really know the correct language that separates them from bulls, steers, cows, heifers etc. Well I know what a bull is, I am not that daft. There are a lot of bulls.
The Ranch is beautiful. I would get distracted and want to take fun pictures. Pictures of the scenery. Pictures of cows being "cute" and doing funny things. Unfortunately those don't sell cows.
This is an example of how they need to be posed.
Have you ever tried to get a cow in this exact position? Actually he would like the head facing forward. Hind legs need to be separated so that you can see their "junk". (yes I know this is not a bull).
Actually if your showing a bull you want to see the balls. I don't think I have ever looked at so many bulls balls in my life.
Pretty pitiful when you look at a bull and the first thing you notice are his balls and hope they are positioned correctly. Again, I know this is not a bull but thought it was a pretty picture ;)
Ah, excuse me bull? Could you take a half step forward I cannot quite see your junk.
This one is much cuter.
Hi there little guy!
And this one is much more fun...unfortunately they are not going to buy a bull because he has a cute face.
My, but what big balls you have!
I was out in the field with about 40 young bulls. Trying to get all of their pictures. Hard to do when they keep moving away from you. For some reason they don't really listen/understand what you are telling them to do. Anyway, I am out in this field and all of a sudden the 40+ bulls all line up facing the adjoining field that is separated by one single electric wire.
Seriously, they line up.
Shoulder to shoulder and start mooing and snorting at this one bull on the other side of the wire. It was really weird and I was trying to decide which side of the fence was going to be safer and was the one electric wire going to keep them separated.
Obviously this guy had an attitude. Stuck in a field by himself.
This is Jax. Cutest kid on the planet I tell you. He absolutely loves to ride in the truck with his dad.
MOO!
Jax is a farm boy. He hangs with his dad and Uncle Yancy, giving them direction.
Supervising, making sure they are getting their work done.
"Uncle Yancy you need to put the seed in here."
"Good job, now you got the hang of it."
"Here, let me hold this for you."
Jax is a good Foreman. Even his dad follows his direction.
Even these guys agree.
